Business Impact Analysis - definitions

Business Impact Analysis - BIA identifies the cost (financial and nonfinancial) should a set of business processes not functioning correctly. It is used in preparing a disaster recovery plan (DRP) or a business continuity plan (BCP).

BIA - Business Impact Analysis - A formal analysis of the effect on the business if a specific process fails or loses efficiency.  It will also identify the minimum performance level of a given process that an organization requires to continue operating.
