Controlling assault of non-solicited pornography and marketing (CAN-SPAM) - controlling assault of non-solicited pornography and marketing (CAN-SPAM) is legislation that was established in 2003, and is the first U.S. standard for senders of commercial e-mail. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is responsible for enforcing this legislation.
