Data Forensics - The process of locating and reviewing documents, files, and correspondences including email. Theentification or restoration of stored, deleted, and erased files (including email) from a computer, combined with certifying the authenticity of the files. Often conducted in the context of preparation for litigation or in analyzing potential wrong-doing.
