droupie (data groupie) - Droupie (for data groupie ) is computer jargon for someone who likes to spend time with people who are more computer literate than they are. The droupie is assumed to admire the technically inclined for their proficiency with computer applications just as the traditional groupie admires musicians for their musical ability.
