Geocentric Latitude - definition(s)

geocentric latitude - [coordinate systems] The angle between the equatorial plane and a line from a point on the surface to the center of the sphere or spheroid. On a sphere, all lines of latitude are geocentric. Latitude generally refers to geodetic latitude.
