Incoming Goods Inspection (IGI) - definition(s)

Incoming Goods Inspection - A verification check if the product arrived in good condition at your warehouse before accepting them into your stock. In some cases additional measurements are required to verify if the product is according to the desired specification, but in general it means checking if the boxes are OK, the labels are there in the right place, the quantity is OK, etc., etc. The functionality is, or should be, guaranteed and proved with a measurement report from the vendor.
