Letter Tray - definitions

Letter Tray - A flat cardboard or plastic container for sorted letter-size mail that can hold several hundred letters. Various kinds and sizes of trays are used in place of sacks or pouches for transporting mail within and between major postal facilities. Certain rate categories, especially automation rates, require the use of trays. (Compare with flat tray.)
