Product Repository - The term product repository is used to describe a central repository for all product information within an enterprise. This term has the same meaning as product master data management (MDM) and product information management (PIM).
Within the enterprise information landscape, this term often is used in conjunction with the term "material master." A material master refers to a central repository of information about materials or components that are used to produce finished products. The product repository refers to a central repository of information for all finished product information.
