Pseudo-Random Noise (PRN) - definition(s)

PRN - [GPS] Acronym for pseudo-random noise. A signal carrying a code that can be reproduced exactly, but appears to be randomly distributed like noise. Each NAVSTAR satellite has a unique PRN code.
