Postal code files containing latitude/longitude centroids

Please be aware that these files contain POSTAL CODE CENTROIDS.  That is, the latitude/longitude refer to the centre of a postal code area.  Most (cheaper) files you may find elsewhere containing latitude/longitudes contain PLACE NAME CENTROIDS.  That is, the latitude/longitude points to the centre of a populated place.  Postal code centroid information is difficult to obtain, and this is reflected in the price.

 

GRC Database Information resells GIS files made available by GfK Geomarketing.  These files contain postal codes, places names and latitude/longitude information.  Availability by country is as follows:

(*) These prices are for a single user license and exclude delivery costs and VAT if you are based in The Netherlands.  Discounts are available for multiple-user licenses.

 

To the best of out knowledge, these files contain complete coverage of geographical postal codes for the given countries.  They do not contain special delivery or non-geographic postal codes, such as those for post office boxes, large user, delivery routes and so on.  

 

To purchase one or more of these files, you would need to provide information about the use to which you wish to put the files.

 

Example prices:

 

• to use the data on a single website, where the user cannot access the data and the user does not pay for the service offered: reckon 3 times the single user price as shown in the table above.
• to use the data on a single website, where the user cannot access the data and the user does pay for the service offered: reckon 6 times the single user price as shown in the table above.
• to use the data within a program within a company, reckon one single user price for the development of the program and one for each of the computers upon which the program will run.

 

Updates, when available, are priced at 50% less than the full price at the time of update.  Subscriptions are available (minimum duration: 36 months)

 

Prices exclude delivery costs, which are EUR 20 within the European Union, EUR 50 outside it.
