As not all people require the amount of detail provided in The Global Sourcebook, this listing (in Adobe Acrobat format), extracted from the Global Source Book, provides the postal code formats (or whether there are, in fact, postal codes in the country concerned) and, in some cases, some additional information about which characters are allowed in which positions in the postal codes, for all countries and territories.
