WS-Security - definition(s)

WS-Security - WS-Security is a set of security extensions to SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol), the XML-based messaging specification. It adds three basic security functions: the ability to send a security token as part of a message, message integrity and message confidentiality. These elements can be used alone or together. They are designed to allow SOAP messaging to be used as part of different security models like PKI, SSL and others.
