Enterprise Portal - definitions

Enterprise Portal - A technology solution to a business need for information. A portal generally uses a Content Management System (CMS) and other technologies to display information in web pages, accessible via standard browser technologies. It collects and consolidates business intelligence objects (reports, documents, spreadsheets, data cubes, etc.) generated anywhere in the enterprise by any application and makesg them easily accessible, subject to security authorization.
