OpenGIS Abstract Specification - A document that captures the OGC member consensus on a computing technology independent specification for interfaces, protocols or schemas for interoperable geoprocessing. The Abstract Specification is that part of the OpenGIS Specification created by the OGC Technical Committee to provide a high level description of the functionality to be provided in OpenGIS Implementation Specifications.
