Golden Copy - definition(s)

Golden Copy - The term "golden copy" is used for expressing a valid version of a record in computing. In master Data Management_, it's used to describe a trusted copy of a master dataset or several master datasets where each real-world entity only appears once and attributes are made accurate and complete through master data survivorship rules.

The term "golden copy" is often used interchangeable with the term "master data hub."

Having a golden copy is the foundation for achieving a single view of business partners, including having a single customer view (SVC).
