Phonetic similarity - definition(s)

Phonetic similarity - Phonetic similarity is used to compare two data strings that may be spelled differently but sound the same.

In master data management, phonetic similarity is used in data matching when comparing two sets of data that don't have a common exact key but may be describing the same real-world construct.

Using phonetic similarity in Data Quality_ improvement applies to both customer Data Quality_ and product Data Quality_.
