Purpose: it is not possible to distinguish definitively between first given names and middle given names, so this process makes no attempt to validate the name strings found within a field. This process simply splits a personal name string after the first full stop or space found.
Example:
Graham Robert becomes Graham and Robert
Graham R. becomes Graham and R.
Jean-Paul Robert becomes Jean-Paul and Robert
J.G.P.L. becomes J. and G.P.L.
Information required: GRC ToolsTMneeds to know the field to which to move the middle name(s)/initial(s).
If you would like to move only initials to the middle name field, choose the Move only initials? option. Choosing this option means that:
Graham Robert remains unchanged
Graham R. becomes Graham and R.
Jean-Paul Robert remains unchanged
J.G.P.L. becomes J. and G.P.L.
