The official language is English External. The version spoken in Trinidad and Tobago is a dialect rather than a distinct Creole. There are some 45 000 Hindi External-speakers, 36 000 Lesser Antillean Creole English External-speakers and a number of Trinidad Creole French External-speakers.

Trinidad and Tobago completed implementing a Postal Code system in February 2021, which has a 6-digit numeric code. The first two digits point to the delivery office in one of the 72 postal districts; the next two digits indicate a sub-district (called the “delivery loop”); and the final two a zone or building.
